How to use V2Box?

Despite its relatively simple and user-friendly interface, V2Box is not an easy application to use. Unlike virtual private network applications such as Cloudfare 1.1.1.1, V2Box does not provide a server. You need to manually add the V2Ray server configuration or the VPN you want to connect to by scanning the QR code or clicking the “+” button in the upper right corner of the screen. Add configuration using cached path. You just need to copy the path from V2Ray providers and use this feature, V2Box will automatically access the path from the cache on the device, then automatically configure from the information retrieved from the provider.

Add configuration using json string from cache. Similar to above, however V2Box will not connect to the provider to get information but read information directly from the json string in cache on your device.

Add Subscription

You will enter the URL from the V2Ray service provider, the V2Box application will automatically download the information and install it for you. This section has 2 information input boxes, in which remarks is to enter the name (you can enter whatever you want), and URL is where to enter the link as mentioned above.

Add manual config

You will enter manually from the configuration parameters. In which:

• Remarks: Display name, you can enter as you like
• Address: Address to the server you want to connect to, you can enter by IP or domain name.
• Port: Connection port, depending on your purpose, enter a different port. The default is “443” – HTTPS protocol for web browsing.
• Password: Password you must enter if the server requires it.
• Security: Security method. Depending on the method, the information security will be high, but there is also a risk of causing connection errors.
• Network: Transmission protocol. You can choose the protocol depending on your purpose. The default is TCP for most cases. You can also use H2 or WS if you need to bypass the security layer of the website.
• Http host: The address you want to disguise. Your traffic will be read by your ISP as your masked address, even if you are accessing a different address.
• TLS: Used in conjunction with H2 to encrypt data in transit, protect data from being collected and disguise your traffic.
• Update all subscriptions: Update all your configuration. Use when you experience connection failures when V2Ray providers update their configuration.

Advanced customization

V2Box provides a number of custom settings to help users improve connectivity or resolve some errors when accessing the web:

• AllowInsecure: Allow access to low-security servers.
• Prefer IPv6: Prefer IPv6 connection protocol.
• Allow connections from the LAN: Allow devices on the same LAN to connect to the V2Ray server via the V2Box application on your device.
• Per-app proxy: Select applications that are connected to V2Ray/VPN, the remaining applications will still use the normal internet. This setting helps you avoid having to turn it on and off.
• Mux: Combine TCP connections into a single TCP connection. Increases access speed but may cause connection errors.
