Introduce about Uproot
Join in an amazing adventure with Ygg in Uproot!
Have you ever transformed into a small tree trunk in a video game, a growing tree with much curiosity and surprise entering the jungle life?
If you want to taste these beautiful emotions of ups and downs in the role of a small tree trunk, to meet the mystical creatures of the strange fantasy world, let’s play Uproot.
The story
Uproot is a lovely little adventure. You are a small tree with buds and leaves sprouting on you. One day, for some reason, these special little purple leaves were stolen by the giant rat Rat King.
The small tree decided to set out to find its purple leaves. When innocently leaving his village, his safe homeland, the little tree has not yet realized the dangerous world outside. But like the adventurous crickets, with a small heart full of faith, love of life, and big curious eyes, the small tree can surely overcome any obstacle, finding the truth about the precious purple leaves, regain what belongs to them, and become more mature after the trip.
Meet precious mystical friends
Uproot is a world full of blue and full of strange mystical creatures. Inspired by real-life plants and animals, the characters in the story have been transformed and personified to express their own personality and role, in a full of implication way.
Along the way, the small tree will meet many strange characters, whether accidentally or intentionally. It could be a rugged-looking lizard that turns out to be friendly, it could be a mischievous little mouse, it could also be a wise lizard that gives good advice, even an alien squid…
Of course, among those many new friends, not everyone can be trusted, and not everyone offers useful advice for small trees. But each meeting is a life experience, helping the small tree mature and identify things better. This is perfectly fine for growing up. The outside world is not always safe, especially when stepping out of your comfortable cocoon into strange lands.
Story-driven point-and-click puzzle adventure game
Uproot is a beautiful game fully designed with hand-drawn backgrounds and characters. Each line contains the developer’s mind, artistic vision, and aesthetic sense of humor. Along with soothing chill music, and engaging voice-over dialogue, Uproot’s narration, and storytelling reach a level that once you start, you just can’t stop.
Throughout the story, it is an adventure filled with point-and-click puzzle situations. In terms of difficulty, Uproot is a bit easy to play. Most of the puzzles are problem-solving. For example, seeing an enemy appear, you have to jump into a nearby bush to hide. Children or adults can play Uproot and enjoy the story at their own pace. You won’t encounter too many obstacles with the nature of the puzzles in the game.
Multiple means of support
To help players easily follow the story as well as remember the supporting characters, and the plot that has happened, Uproot brings a lot of support vehicles along the way. You will have a small notebook to record the journey of the small tree, there is a hint system to assist in deciphering slightly difficult puzzles if needed.
Along the way, there are also many hints, and hidden meanings installed in each puzzle or the context that the small tree goes through. Take a little look around because that could be a clue to the solution to the next puzzle.
From time to time open the logbook to review the Journey Log to inventory the points passed, and find connections between some strange friends. Somewhere there will be a link that will lead you to the Rat King and then find your magical purple leaves.
