Introducing TotAL RPG

TotAL RPG is an RPG (action role-playing) game. You will fight and climb towers in a fantasy world full of monsters and traps.

The story of the tower of strength

In a certain world, filled with magic, there exists a magic tower. However, this tower is gradually being invaded by a force from the other world with a plot to dominate the entire continent. They took over the tower and brought monsters here. From here, the monsters will gradually move out and destroy your world.

The self-destruction of monsters has gone beyond the control of the tower keepers. They were forced to issue a call to warriors around the world to come forward to protect the tower as well as protect this world itself. And you – a warrior responding to that call, are ready to set out to destroy the monsters. By destroying all the monsters in the tower, you not only save everyone but also bring fame to your kingdom and yourself.

Standard RPG gameplay

TotAL RPG opens with simple gameplay with basic buttons. You will control the character through the joystick on the left and the skill keys on the right. Skills will change according to different character classes. Your journey is simply to kill all the monsters in the floor and advance to the next tower floor. After passing a floor, you can choose to go to the next floor or return to the lobby to prepare further.

In general, like many other tower-climbing or dungeon-exploring role-playing games, TotAL RPG has a character level system and equipment level to help players gradually become stronger. However, you have to spend time and effort to plow hoe, the game does not have an Auto system. Fighting and killing lots of monsters will help you level up quickly and earn a certain amount of Gold. Occasionally in TotAL RPG you will be able to meet a few teammates who are climbing the same tower, cooperate with them to destroy the tower as quickly as possible.

Graphics

As a game with simple gameplay, TotAL RPG also has equally simple graphics. The image in TotAL RPG has dark colors in a tower without sunlight. The light here mainly comes from surrounding candles and torches. The images and movements of the characters are quite smooth, this is considered a plus point of the game. In the early levels, the monsters are mainly walking skeletons and demon dogs. They are shaped quite roughly, similar to your character.

The viewing angle in the game can be said to be the biggest minus point. With a 3D action-adventure game, a reasonable viewing angle will give players the best experience. However, in TotAL RPG, the perspective is too different from current games. Instead of the usual third-person perspective, TotAL RPG has an almost 90-degree top-down perspective. If you stand close to the wall, the viewing angle will be 90 degrees.

It feels like you are the one hiding on the ceiling and watching this warrior adventure. Although the game has a camera view adjustment function, it is no different from the character zoom function, which is quite useless. Another small minus point is that it is quite difficult to collect items, because you need to move over the item to be able to collect it. Even if you move a little away from that object, you won’t be able to pick it up.

NPCs of TotAL RPG

At the beginning of the game you will meet quite a few unnamed NPCs, they will be the guides and confirm whether you are qualified to climb the tower or not. Here, they will teach you how to use your weapons, how to move, and how to use the specific skills of your chosen class. This can be called the tutorial level of the game.

After passing the first floor, you will meet new NPCs, they are Vilskas, Riddas and Trogvald. In the tower, your main task is to pass all the floors but you can receive additional side quests from Vilskas to receive additional rewards. Cooperating with him can earn a large amount of money and experience. Exchanging and trading items, you can meet Riddas.

Riddas’s small booth has everything you need, from weapons and armor to recovery items and upgrade items. But to own them requires a decent amount of money. And the last NPC is Trogvald – a blacksmith – who will help you upgrade your equipment to become stronger. Meet him when you have collected enough ingredients, your strength will increase significantly.
