Gameplay 

Demolish! is a purely entertaining game from VooDoo. But unlike the usual game motifs such as running over obstacles, building, playing sports… now VooDoo brings a new experience: destructive game. 

‘Destructive’, that’s exactly what it means because the player’s only task in Demolish! is to go around to find ways to destroy all buildings in the city with different destructive materials such as rockets, lasers… 

Here you don’t follow the normal principle: destroying a building from the top down to limit the damage to the surrounding areas. You will use heavy destructive tools to shoot directly at the building without any shielding or protective measures. The buildings in the game are uninhabited and the surrounding area is also empty, so you can safely do this. 

The control method here is said to be quite similar to Angry Bird. It has an even simpler operation. You use a cannon located on the ground, direct it to the building, adjust the angle and the force to shoot in turn at the building. You should make the building completely collapse in the fastest time. If you complete the mission, you will get stars. The faster you destroy it, the more skillful you are and the less weapon-consuming, the more stars you will get (maximum 3 stars for a mission).  

Buildings in the early stages can be collapsed easily. But you still have to be tactical from the start. Note that although Demolish! does not follow the principle of construction and destruction in reality, its physics simulation is quite good. For example, you may shoot at the bottom floors of a building because you think that if the root collapses, the building will fall faster. But when the layers of bricks and stones fall off around, it may create a layer of material like a protective barrier, making building’s root become thick and it will be even harder to destroy it. So, the best way for you is to look at each type of building, considering its height and fall. Sometimes you should start shooting at the top floors, sometimes you should start shooting at the middle ones, it all depends on the situation. 

The setting changes and the building changes, but the difficulty doesn’t increase much 

It’s also different from the publisher’s games where the next level is always more difficult than the previous one, and the challenge levels increase steadily. In Demolish!, VooDoo focuses on changing the context for players more than increasing the difficulty. 

The setting and design of the building in each scene vary, but in general, there is not too much difference in difficulty. The design of the building is not gradually difficult either. Objectively, Demolish! makes you very excited to play at first, but is not enough for long-term play.

When you pass about a dozen levels, you will understand the general rule to knock down buildings, which is also when you may lose your enthusiasm for the game. 

There is an added change in Weapons. Accumulate more and more stars so you will unlock new weapons. To be honest, I see not too much difference in the effects of explosions created by different weapons. 

Weapons

Specifically, Demolish has 3 main weapons, including Cannon, Laser and Nuclear Bomb. In it, cannons have an infinite number. Cannon damage is the weakest in the game, only allowing you to destroy small areas. However, if you like to enjoy this devastation slowly, the Cannon is an extremely suitable weapon.

Sorted by damage, nuclear bombs are stronger than cannon, but weaker than lasers.

The most powerful weapon of Demolish is the Laser. Just select the laser, you will see everything destroyed without having to do any further work. Laser is suitable for large-scale constructions, or for players who lack patience.
